Present:  Cllr. Fairfield (in the chair), Cllrs. Howell, Jamieson, Lock, Parker, Plant, Richardson, Whitton.  

1. The minutes of the meeting held on 7th November 2017, having previously been circulated, were taken as read.

Resolved: that the minutes are approved and signed.

2. Matters Arising from the Minutes

(a) Old Ellerby telephone kiosk: suggestion received that the kiosk is used to house a defibrillator.  It was felt this may not be an ideal location to serve both parts of the village.  Agreed to wait for other suggestions to be submitted.  Email received from the ambulance service offering advice and assistance in purchasing and installing a defibrillator.

(b) Grounds maintenance: Water leak, Old Ellerby.  Yorkshire Water appears to have checked the area, but the leak is still evident.  Clerk to contact them again.

 Graffiti: this has been included in their list for attention.  

 Ditch:  Mike Peeke awaiting response from land agent.

(c) Broadband update: the cabinet is ready and should become active by the end of the month once new duct has been connected.

(d) Railway line car park: Mike Peeke replied that repairs to the track would be part of ERYC maintenance and would not be addressed until 2018-19 year.  He has passed the request to the relevant department.

3. Precept 2018-2019

Resolved that a precept of £1800 is requested.

4. Planning Applications

(a) Plan approved: 17/03006, variation re Garden Centre caravan site.

5. Highways and Grounds Maintenance

(a) Ellerby Cottage: it has been noticed that the number of vehicles appears to be increasing.  Clerk to contact Andrew Nelsey at ERYC.

6. Correspondence Received

(b) Appointment of external auditor:   the auditor will continue to be PKF Littlejohn
